How much is the entry?
Registration and participation are completely free.
How do I register?
You have to click here and follow the required steps. After a few moments you should receive a confirmation mail with an activation link. Once you have confirmed your account by clicking on the link in the email, you will be able to propose and vote sessions.
Why should I complete my profile on this site?
In addition to your main contacts, you will be asked for some information about what do you do with Drupal or the reasons why you' re interested into it. This site contains some information about participants, such as name and provenance, as well as the sessions they wish to participate. This is necessary in order to improve the organization and provide better service.
Where the event will take place?
The DrupalCamp Torino 2010 will be held in Cascina Roccafranca in Turin, a 2500mq seventeenth century building, renovated in 2004. It' s a great place to host social events like ours: In the past, the same structure, for instance, hosted many times the Linux Day.
Who organizes it?
The DrupalCamp Torino 2010 is organized by a team of professionals and enthusiasts, who for various reasons have allowed the event to become reality!
What are the sessions?
The sessions are moments in some ways similar to lessons, in which one or more participants share their knowledge through a presentation with slides, films, workshops or a demo. A session with several participants can also take the form of a round table, with the possibility of the public to attend and participate actively.
What language will be used for sessions?
The main language is Italian, although possibly there will be some sessions in English (it will be evaluated on the proposed sessions and on the provenance of registered participants).
English sessions may not exceed 1/3 of the total number.
Can I propose a session?
Sure! Once you' ve registered, you can freely propose a session, which has somehow related to Drupal.
Can I vote for the sessions?
Sure, just go to the Session page (as a registered user) and click "vote this session" on the sessions that you think are more interesting.
Why should I vote for them?
Voting sessions based on your interests you will contribute in selecting the topics that will be discussed at the DrupalCamp. Rather than adopt the traditional BarCamp method, which foresees a choice of sessions on the day of the event, we decided to anticipate the choice in order to raise a bit the level of the sessions and to allow speakers better organize their talks.
How long is a session?
The sessions will last 1 hour.
How many people will there be?
The DrupalCamp Crema 2009 scored over 150 registered participants as dozens of onlookers and visitors were able to follow the sessions. This year we hope to host more than 200. On these pages you will see a sidebar that shows the number of registered users so far.
Is the DrupalCamp good for beginners?
Yes, we planned a proper track-level for them.
Can I still become a sponsor of the Torino 2010 DrupalCamp?
Absolutely! Take a look at the sponsorship packages and contact us if you' re interested.
There will be Wi-Fi?
Currently, Wi-Fi will be available for sessions authors.
Is something planned for lunch?
As for DrupalCamp Crema 2009 we will provide a free buffet consisting of pizzas, sandwiches and drinks.
